Making your Scout promise – whether you're a young member or volunteer – is a very special moment in your Scouts journey. This Scouts Promise badge is an ideal keepsake to remember that moment for years to come.
A transfer-printed blanket badge with the Scouts Buddhist Promise that can be sewn onto a camp blanket or poncho.
Choosing a Promise
There are different versions of the Scout Promise: everyone should choose the wording that’s best for them. Volunteers should make sure that they give everyone information about the options available, so new Scouts can think about what they will Promise (and depending on the age of the young person, talk about it with their parents and carers).
The Promise
The Promise is a simple way to help young people and adults celebrate their shared Scout values. Every Scout promises to stick by these values when they become a member.
There are four versions of the Promise appropriate to different age groups.
There is a Promise for;
- Squirrels
- Beavers
- Cubs
- Scouts, Explorers, Network and adults
Scouts is open to people of all faiths and of none. We have different variations of our Promise, so everyone can make a Promise that means something to them, no matter their background or belief.
