Volunteers make Scouts happen. Each week, our volunteers help young people gain skills for life through activities and adventure; they make all the difference. This 'We make all the difference' blanket badge is perfect for volunteers and would also make a great gift to show your appreciation for them and the amazing things they do.

What do Scouts volunteers do?

Each week, our volunteers help young people gain skills for life through activities and adventures. Whatever they bring to the table – however often they can help – volunteers change young people's lives.

Most of our volunteers work directly with young people aged 4 to 18 through our groups, known as Sections, which are:

Squirrels
Beavers
Cubs
Scouts
Explorers

Saying thanks matters
Volunteers do amazing things every day, whether they’ve volunteered for 6 months or 50 years. Thanking volunteers and making sure they feel appreciated for the everyday things they do - no matter how big or small - is a huge part of what we do.  

By showing we're grateful for them, they’ll feel valued and know they’re making a difference to young people’s lives. And, hopefully, they’ll feel motivated to keep volunteering with us.
