That’s over 250,000 young people and volunteers all celebrating, making it one of the biggest birthdays ever.

As part of our birthday celebrations, we’ve created a digital “party bag” for volunteers. It includes games, activities, and party ideas to help them celebrate.

The Origins of Beaver Scouts

Beaver Scouts, often shortened to Beavers, was officially launched in 1986 following a two-year pilot programme, and in the true spirit of an inclusive organisation, even younger children got to experience Scouts for the first time.

Who are Beavers? 

Beaver Scouts, or Beavers, are the second section of the Scouting family, coming after Squirrels and before Cubs. Beavers is designed for young people aged 6 to 8 years old and offers the chance to try new activities, have fun, go on adventures, and make new friends while learning about the world around them.
