A smart man called Carl Sagan once said, "Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known," Start your journey of space exploration here, and who knows? Something incredible could be waiting for you.

The UK Space Agency aims to inspire the next generation of UK scientists and engineers by introducing Beaver Scouts to the exciting and growing world of space engineering and space science. The practical and problem-solving skills developed through Scouting, along with the enthusiasm for science shown by Scout Leaders, could be instrumental in encouraging this future generation of space scientists and engineers.

How to earn the badge:

1. Point out some of the things you can see in the night sky.

   It could be stars, the moon or planets.

2. Point out and name at least one constellation you can see.

3. Name the eight planets in our solar system and draw or make a model of one of the planets.

   You could use papier-mache to make your model.

4. Find out about a space mission, an astronaut or a planet in our solar system.
