How to Order Personalised and Custom Scouts Flags

At Scout Store, we offer the option to personalise sectional flags for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Network, Sea Scouts and Air Scouts with the name of your drey, pack, colony, or group name for use at parades and formal Scouting events. We also offer the exciting option to print a fully customised flag with your own design. Both types of flags are made to order and are constructed with durable MOD-grade heavy woven polyester material.

What flag personalisation options are available at Scout Store?

You can choose from:

Personalised flags – Add up to 18 characters of text above and 18 characters below your sectional logo or Fleur de Lis, choosing from either arched or straight text. Each flag measures 60 x 90 cm and has space to include your group or section name.
Customised flags – Create your own flag from scratch using your own artwork. Available in two sizes: 90x60cm or 120x90cm.

How to order Personalised Scouts flags – Step by step

Follow these simple steps to personalise sectional Scouts flags:

Step 1

Add your text

Type your preferred text into the ‘Top text’ and the ‘Bottom text’ text boxes, making sure each line is no more than 18 characters.

Now select if you would like your top and bottom text to be arched by choosing Yes or No from the ‘Top text arched’ and ‘Bottom text arched’ drop-down boxes.

Step 2

Select your quantity

Use the + and – buttons to select the number of flags you would like to purchase, and then click the black ‘Add to bag’ button.

Step 3

Review basket and checkout

Before placing your order, please double-check your choice of flag, size and text options. All items are made to order and cannot be changed or returned once placed. Once you have made your payment, you’ll receive a confirmation and an estimated delivery date.

Step 4

Production and Delivery

Your design will then go into production. Flags are dispatched and delivered within 6-8 weeks of artwork approval

Save your design as a vector file (PDF, AI or EPS). If you’re unsure how, get in contact with Customer Services.

Step 2

Select your flag

Choose from 90x60cm or 120x90cm and to your basket.

Step 3

Place your order

Proceed to checkout and make your payment.

Step 4

Send your design file

Our Customer Services team will contact you for your artwork - please remember to check your design for spelling mistakes or errors!

Step 5

Production and Delivery

Your design will then go into production. Customised flags are dispatched and delivered within 6-8 weeks of artwork approval.

Artwork and Printing Guidelines

Colour Accuracy - We will try to match the colours from your original design as closely as possible. If you require a specific colour match, please include a Pantone colour reference in your artwork.
Text Legibility - If you are using text, please ensure there is enough contrast between the text and background colour so it can be seen.
Photos - Please make sure images are high quality and are set to 300dpi.
Limitations - There are no limitations when choosing colours for your design, you can also add any text or owned logos and emblems.

Spelling – Have you checked for typos and errors in your text?
Contrast – Is your text easy to read against the background?
Image Quality – Is your photo sharp and detailed enough, and set to 300dpi?
Permissions – Do you own or have rights to use all images and logos?
Spacing – Is there enough space between the text and design elements?

Personalised and Custom Flags - Frequently Asked Questions

What if I make a spelling mistake or error in my submitted text for personalisation?

Please double-check the spelling of your chosen name before ordering. Once your personalisation request has been submitted, you won’t be able to make any further changes.

What colour will the text be on my sectional flag?

Text will be white in colour to contrast with the coloured background, with the exception of the text on the Cubs flags, which will be Cubs green (on a yellow background).

Can I wash my custom printed or personalised flag?

Yes, our flags are machine washable. We would advise putting them on a gentle wash with a small amount of detergent.

How long will it take to deliver my custom-printed clothing?

We aim to deliver your order within 8-10 weeks of artwork approval.

I have ordered additional items alongside my custom-printed clothing order. When can I expect these?

Any non-personalised items will be dispatched separately and will not appear on the delivery note.

Can I return my personalised or custom flag order?

Unfortunately, personalised items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
