Heritage Baden-Powell Window Hand Painted Paperweight

Heritage Baden-Powell Window Hand Painted Paperweight

Product Information

The window was commissioned by the International Bureau, which was the forerunner of WOSM, as a gift to mark the centenary of B-Ps birth and the Jubilee Jamboree in 1957. Designed by Alexander Russell (1894-1965) who taught at the School of Design at Dundee College of Art. The window was presented in 1956. All the colours are hand painted with a brush direct on to the glass. This item supports a small cottage craft industry of ladies working on the borders of Scotland and Cumbria.
